Description: AntioxCene is a unique spectrum of Anti-Oxidants, Vitamins, Trace Minerals and Dietary Polyphenols, formulated to maximize anyones ability to recover from stress induced by exercise or any intense activity. Muscle contractions from exercise are a potent trigger for muscle and tissue damage. This trigger occurs, in part, through the generation of Free Radicals like reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS/RNS such as Nitric Oxide, Peroxynitrite, hydroxyl, and Superoxide). On the one hand, these substances are like signals for the body to induce the biochemical and molecular pathways necessary for recovery processes to occur. In other words, these free-radicals may be part of the initial signal for the muscle to start repairing itself. On the other hand, if left unchecked, these same substances can cause extensive damage to muscle cell membranes, protein and DNA. Adaptation from training, in the form of muscle hypertrophy or enhanced muscle performance can only occur if skeletal muscles control and inhibit the free-radical induced tissue damage by way of a complex Antioxidant System which includes, Superoxide Dismutase, GlutathionePeroxidase/ Reductase and Catalase to prevent excessive muscle cell damage. Studies show that a specific type of muscle tissue may be more vulnerable to free radicals: Type II fibers (muscles that have the greatest capacity to grow on weight training) involved in high intensity exercise have a decreased content of such protective antioxidant system compared to Type I (endurance) fibers, involved in low intensity exercise.

Suggested Use: TRAINING DAYS: Take 1 serving (3 capsules) within 1 hour after training session, OR separated into 3 servings of 1 capsule each throughout the day. For NON-TRAINING DAYS: take one serving (3 capsules) prior to any meal, OR separated into 3 servings (1 capsule each) spread evenly throughout the day. After 3 weeks of continuous use with 3 capsules per day, DECREASE dosage to 1 capsule per day. After 6 weeks of continuous use, take 1 week off from AntioxCene before resuming. HIGHLY STRENUOUS TRAINING BLOCKS includes weeks of increased intensity of effort, greater than 80-85 % 1RM, or eccentric emphasis with increased total volume in his/her training block, or training sessions requiring multiple sets (more than 4 5 sets) taken to failure (exhaustion) TRAINING DAYS: take 5 capsules per day: 2 capsules with any mealprior to training, and 3 capsules within 1 hour after each training session; OR separated into 3 other daily servings (at 1-2 capsules each). NON-TRAINING DAYS: Take one serving (3 capsules) prior to any meal, OR separated into 3 servings (1 capsule each). After 3 weeks of continuous use with 3 capsules per day, DECREASE dosage to 2 capsules per day (1 capsule in the morning upon waking and 1 capsule before bedtime). After 6 weeks of continuous use, take 1 week off from AntioxCene before restarting. FOR WEEKS of ACTIVE REST PERIODS, or PERIODS of VERY LOW INTENSITY: Take 2 capsules per day (1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule at night).
